Hi PT, I love the roll call! I really enjoy seeing where all the

members are from! And it's neat to have a question we can all respond

to! One assumes that most people have plates they are eating off of, and

it's an interesting thing to read about, and also gives everyone a chance

to post. I don't think there is a group member in here that would look

down on anyone for not owning china...nor is that the way the question

was written. And hey! if you can't relate, or you're busy right

now---press delete.....or consider going on the no-mail option. It's

that simple!

OK--I'm Paula, from Crawford, TX. I've inherited some china from both

sides of the family that I couldn't tell you what the patterns are now,

because they are packed in boxes in the very tip top of my kitchen

shelves. I wouldn't feel comfortable using them. Same with the crystal.

The plates and bowls we use for everything are kind of an Italian design

with pink and blue and green and yellow. But I'm a bowl person. I can't

resist different shaped and sized bowls. It's kind of a joke in the

family about mom sneaking new bowls into the shelves. Oh, and I've also

enjoyed sampling contenders for the perfect coffee cup for many

years....lol. Gives me a chance to get out of the rut.

month since last October, maybe before that, and there

has NEVER been any such demands upon the members
