Guest guest
Try some dried blueberries in this mix, or stir in some fresh or frozen blueberries into your morning serving of prepared meuseli! This one is a staple in my house and really can give you energy to keep you going through a full morning of yard work or housework.... any kind of work! Meuseli Oatmeal Mix 4 cups quick-oats 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed 1-1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 3/4 tsp ground nutmeg 3/4 cup dried fruits: apple pieces, raisins, dried currants, dried blueberries, whatever.... Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir with a wire whisk until evenly distributed. Pour into a 5 cup container with a tight-fitting lid. Label and date contents. Use within 6 months. Makes about 5 cups of this mix. How To Prepare One Serving: To fix a dish of warm mueseli I will take 1/2 cup mix in a bowl and stir in enough water or soy milk to make it a bit runny (sorry no exact measurements but I suspect it is close to 1/2 cup). Then, I place the dish in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute. Bring it out and stir. Add a dollop of butter, yogurt, more flavored soy milk, or fresh berries and enjoy! ~ pt ~ Whatever you would have your own children become, strive to exhibit in your own lives and conversation. ~ Lydia Sigourney
