Guest guest
SUPPORT AB 241 COMMITTEE VOTES TOMORROW! THURSDAY JULY 2, 2009! MAKE A CALL TO HELP BAN PUPPY MILLS! AB 241 - The Responsible Breeder Act, will be voted on in the Senate Committee on Public Safety this Thursday, July 2nd. Please act BEFORE THURSDAY morning by making phone calls! AB 241 will limit cruel puppy mills in a reasonable way, by simply limiting owners and breeders to a maximum of 50 unaltered animals. Law enforcement reports that in our state, virtually no one has more than 50 unaltered animals unless they are running a puppy mill, or are an20animal hoarder. Puppy mill supporters and animal industry lobbyists are out in force trying to kill this good bill. They want puppy mills to be able to house and breed unlimited animals in awful conditions without oversight. We still need more calls to make sure the Committee knows how just how strongly the public feels about these cruel puppy mills. Please make at least one phone call on AB 241 between now and Thursday morning. If you can, please call them ALL! Senator Mark Leno (Chair) 916-651-4003 Senator John Benoit (Vice-Chair) 916-651-4037 Senator Gilbert Cedillo 916-651-4022 Senator Loni Hancock 916-651-4 009 Senator Robert Huff 916-651-4029 Senator Darrell Steinberg 916-651-4006 Senator Roderick Wright 916-651-4025 Just call and say "I am <name> from <city> and I am asking that Senator <name> SUPPORT AB 241 The Responsible Breeder Act and vote YES in committee." Please leave a message if no one answers! Thank you for supporting SB 250 - The Pet Responsibility Act! The Committee member's phones were ringing off the hook with your support! Let's do the same for AB 241 and help ban puppy mills! Last Chance for Animals (LCA) is dedicated to educating the public about puppy mills and encouraging people not to buy companion animals from pet stores.
