Guest guest
Dear Companion Pet Lovers ~ As mentioned previously, the response to our Petition Initiative drive during the PetPromise Rescue Run was extremely positive (we received great feedback from several members of Columbus All Breed Training Club!), and it is very clear to our team that Ohio voters do not want public dog auctions taking place in their community! Many folks from across Ohio have written asking how they can assist us in this effort, so I am attaching a soft copy of our Petition Initiative. For those of you who would like to volunteer as a 'team lead', we are setting a goal of 50 signatures (each Petition has space for 10 signatures) from family, friends and colleagues that are registered voters in Ohio. Once you have secured 50 signatures (in black ink), please mail all Petitions directly to me at the following address: 347 Meadow Ash Drive Lewis Center, OH 43035 Our goal is to secure 1,200 signatures to the Ohio Attorney General by June 6 (we're actually submitting 20% more than the required 1,000), and once we reach this milestone, a reporter with The Columbus Dispatch will be publishing a follow-up article to reporter Holly Zachariah's story, "Animal advocates may push for a ban on dog auctions". Again, I very much appreciate all your support for this very important campaign. Please don't hesitate to call if you have any questions or have any difficulty downloading the attached Petition..
