Actually that's midnight mountain time. The National Park Services

Center in Denver, Colorado hosts the servers so (if you're on the east coast) you get a couple of

hours of extra time. Here's the website for submitting comments -http://parkplanning.nps.gov/commentForm.cfm?parkID=374 & projectID=11170 & documentId=26021As the previous email on the topic explained, the Sierra Club is firmly behind ALTERNATIVE 4There

are lots of environmental/wildlife issues going on at the moment and perhaps a

recreational management plan for an area that's already protected as a

national park may not seem like a high priority. On the other hand,

it's areas like Everglades National Park which are at the core of the Sierra

Club's mission. If the largest cause of death for endangered manatees

inside the park is powerboat collisions, if the once outstanding wading

bird populations and fishery of the park are only a tiny fraction of

what they once were, and if the vast carpets of seagrass which once

covered huge swaths of Florida Bay in enormous living carpets and are

now being sliced and diced by boat hulls and propellers (the word is

fragmentation), cannot be protected, then there is little hope for

ecosystems that are not national parks or dedicated federal wilderness

areas. Clearly, the quality and quantity of water in the park and

pollution in the air have contributed widely to the deterioration of

natural resources, but the solution to impacts caused by motorized

recreation is far more simple and close at hand..See photos here -http://audubonoffloridanews.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/bay_scars.jpgshttp://www.learner.org/jnorth/images/graphics/manatee/manatee_USGS0022.jpghttp://bioweb.uwlax.edu/bio203/s2007/carlson_kath/images/scars.jpgThe

issue has also been in the news quite a bit recently. This article

from the Florida Keys 'Keynoter' explains the problem and links to an

excellent Q and A on the different alternatives -http://www.keysnet.com/news/story/101947.htmlSending

in some comments to the agency which manages this park on your behalf

is just a few minutes of your time. It could make a big difference in

the outcome. Thanks for all the help,Matt SchwartzBroward Sierra Everglades Issues ChairFlorida Sierra Everglades Committee
