Clovis, CA Passes Spay and Neuter Ordinance! From CBS News: "Spay and neuter your pets… it's now the law in Clovis. On Monday night, the Clovis City Council updated an existing law that means all pet owners must now spay and neuter dogs and cats. There are some exceptions to the law; breeders, service dogs and dogs and cats with health problems are exempt. The law is designed to cut down on the pet overpopulation in Clovis. Last year nearly 80,000 unwanted dogs and cats were brought into Valley animal shelters and 61% were euthanized." You can watch a video about the new ordinance here. Thank you all for your ongoing support of pro-animal legislation in California. If you can, please consider making a donation to SCIL to help us advance our important work. SCIL is a 100% volunteer organization and uses donations only to further legislative goals through public awareness and policy advocacy. We are making a difference together in our great state.
