In order to be counted in the committee's analysis, ALL LETTERS MUST BE SENT BY 5:00 PM WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8th. Dear Supporters: It is time to turn up the heat! Our first SB 250 hearing is scheduled for April 15th in the Senate Local Government Committee. We need your letters and support calls as soon as possible. Here is what we are asking you to do (just 3 simple steps): Please write your own brief letter, or simply print out the standard SB 250 support letter. If you are a organization or group, elected official, etc, please print on your own letterhead, this is critical. You can use this generic letter template and add your letterhead. Please include your address in all correspondence to have your voice accurately counted. Fax your letter to our author Senator Majority Leader Dean Florez at fax number (916) 327-9057. If you need to mail versus fax, the address is: Senator Dean Florez, State Capitol, Room 313, Sacramento, CA 95814. You do not need to send your letter anywhere else except Senator Florez's office. Please call the five committee members and ask for their support. Please be really nice and brief and ask them to Support SB 250. And if you would like to join us for this historic day, please=2 0plan to be at the Capitol in Sacramento early on April 15th (details to follow). Here are the members to call. If you have the time, please consider printing out letters for others to sign, then faxing all the letters to Senator Florez. We deeply appreciate your help, and cannot get this critical bill passed without your support.
