Hello,

 

My name is Rickie, and I ask you to help to save our horses

from a mean and vicious death.

Students of all ages, but particularly school kids, can

really help end horse slaughter.

Adults have been working at this a long time, but things are

only getting worse, so the horses really need us, and right now.

I

believe we can make a difference by writing to the President.  We have

history on our side. It was kids who helped Wild Horse Annie get the

law made that protected wild horses and burros from being slaughtered. 

Look it up.  It's true. And we can do it again.

 

Get

your whole class to do it.  Get other kids in your school and

neighborhood to do it.  Get your clubs and ball teams and the band to

do it, your Sunday School.  See how many you can get. Be sure your

teachers and club leaders say it's okay first.

It is really easy.

Print the flyer. My class wrote it and we think it gets the

message just right.

 

You will see it is in .Pdf and also a Word document on the

right.

 

Then read it, and if you agree to it, fill out the bottom

part with your name, age, school and what city and state it's in.

There is a place to add comments too if you want to say

something else.

Print nice and neat so the President can read it.

 

Stamps cost a lot so get as many together at one time and

send them in one big envelope. That will help.

For

this to work, like it did for Wild Horse Annie and her horses, we need

thousands and

thousands of you sending it to the White House.

 

If President Obama says yes we can change things, then I

believe him.

 

Imagine

if we -- the kids -- ended horse slaughter again, just like we did all

those years ago, but this time for all the horses in America.
