Guest guest
Dear Mrs. Morgan, I am writing to assure you that the demonstration scheduled for tomorrow at the Medical College of Wisconsin will take place despite possible snowfall. If you have last minute questions, feel free to e-mail me at rmerkley or call me at 585-410-0773. The Medical College of Wisconsin is at it again! Despite years of pressure from PCRM, the Wisconsin Humane Society, and concerned citizens like you, the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) continues to use and kill pigs, frogs, rats, and rabbits in its first-year physiology course. In the coming days the school plans to kill more than 30 pigs. This Wednesday, Feb. 18, PCRM members and physicians will hold a demonstration at MCW in Milwaukee. Please join us! What: Physician-led peaceful demonstration at MCW When: Wednesday, Feb. 18, 11 a.m. Location: North 87th St. at MCW¢s main entrance (between Watertown Plank Road and Wisconsin Ave.), Milwaukee Parking: Please use public parking on Watertown Plank Road or other adjacent streets. Please carpool when possible.Signs will be provided. Please make sure to dress warmly. No RSVP is required. Due to public pressure, last year MCW switched from using dogs to pigs in its first year physiology course. We will be in Milwaukee to make this the last year that any animals unnecessarily die at MCW. It¢s crucial that we continue to let the school and its new dean, Jonathan Ravdin, M.D., know that there is no justification for killing in the name of medical education. More than 90 percent of U.S. medical schools no longer offer live animal labs. Please forward this e-mail to your friends and family within driving distance of Milwaukee and ask them to attend the demonstration as well. Please visit www.SaveMCWAnimals.org/ to learn more about how you can help. If you have any questions, please contact me at rmerkley. Thank you so much for your support.
