The King County Council wants to hear from you and will make their decisions based on the public's feedback.~ PROVIDE INPUT ON CONTINUOUS DOG CHAINING ~BackgroundIn 2008, the [WA state] King County Council approved Motion 2008-0347 (PDF), requesting that King County Executives study the feasibility of implementing a ban on continuous dog chaining, tethering and small space confinement, and report findings and recommendations to the Council. The King County Records and Licensing Services Division (RALS), which includes Animal Care and Control, is currently assembling the feasibility study requested by the motion.Take the surveyIf you are interested in providing written input for this study please take our survey. While there is no guarantee that a potential ordinance will be enacted, your input will inform the decision making process. RALS will accept public input for this study through February 12, 2009.
