This is Lester (A08-3033, Spalding County Animal Control ~ see attached photo)... a last minute reprieve from death at Griffin, GA. He was miraculously adopted at the last possible minute - along with a number (4 or 5) of other lucky companions we were able to place in Virginia, Maryland, and other adjacent areas.

Many have partial transport available from Arkansas northbound, depending on date of travel.

 

I don't to transport coordination (just helping whenever possible with driving the actual transports themselves) and my "go-to" coordinator - for whom I have the utmost respect and admiration - does not do transports from Georgia... an unfortunate consequence of a disastrous situation in her history, involving an animal from there.

 

I cross-posted the original group that included Lester, because their faces touched my heart... and all those that most closely moved me, we've been able to save and transport.. except Lester. Fortunately, many kind souls responded - Jill, among them. His adoption contract has been faxed and received, his life spared... now all that remains is to bring him home for the holidays - and forever after!

 

Lester has been housed at Spalding for the maximum five business days, and needs OUT today - Friday, December 20th.

 

If anyone know of local or nearby resources that might assist with temporary foster - and possibly, vetting resources - please contact Jill immediately and help arrange the details with Spalding?

 

I know this is the most hectic time of the year to attempt this, but saving even one small life simply cannot be put off 'til it's more convenient...

 

Is there anyone out there - seasoned, accomplished transport coordinator - who would be willing to step forward and bring this precious soul to his loving forever home?

 

Please contact Jill, if your heart - and your schedule - so compel you to assist him, in his most desperate hour of need?

 

I - of course - will do whatever I can to help, so please keep me "in the loop" as well?

 

We're experiencing a 48-hour blizzard (on top of the foot of snow received on Monday), so I may have intermittent internet access as I travel to collect my daughter from her school that's closing early today (some 30 miles distant), but will be on line at the earliest opportunity.

 

Meanwhile, Lester's time is up - again - at Spalding...

 

We're seeking help to try and find alternate - temporary - arrangements, if Spalding cannot hold him 'til transport... but beyond that, little is certain regarding his fate...

 

Please help us, to help him?
