Dear Shannon,

My crew and I are currently on board the Steve Irwin in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary actively searching for the Japanese whaling fleet. This will be Sea Shepherd's 5th Christmas with a campaign at sea defending the whales. I hope you enjoy the final episode of Season One of Whale Wars "Boiling Point", this Friday on Animal Planet from last year's campaign, while we're continuing to defend the whales this year in the frigid waters of Antarctica...

Happy Holidays from the Captain and Crew at Sea

"A very happy holidays to all of our friends and supporters from me and my crew from onboard the Steve Irwin off the coast of Antarctica. We intend to give the whales and all of our supporters a very special gift this holiday season. As I write this, we are pursuing the Japanese whaling fleet through the ice. Thanks to you we are now in a position to fully obstruct their cruel slaughter. We have no idea how they will react. We cost them $70 million dollars last year and that kind of money is something these killers take very seriously - seriously enough to kill to defend their losing profits. This will be the 5th holiday season that I have spent with my crew down in these remote and distant waters. And I would not wish to be in any other place..."

Sea Shepherd has embarked on its 5th Antarctic Whale Defense Campaign: Operation Musashi, and is actively searching for the illegal whalers. We intend to stop illegal Japanese whaling and shut down their cruel operations once and for all. With your continued support, this monumental campaign to Antarctica will be our most successful ever. Thank-you for making this campaign-- and all of our other campaigns to defend sharks, seals, and other marine animals-- possible.
