http://www.mcall.com/news/local/police/all-2tinicum.6693163dec03,0,7885121.story Fall from hunting tree stand killed man, 65Tinicum Township December 3, 2008 A 65-year-old man found dead Monday in the woods on the 200 block of Cafferty Road in Tinicum Township apparently fell 14 feet from a hunting tree stand, police said. Bucks County Coroner Joseph Campbell identified the man as Christopher Goodrich of the 200 block of Cafferty Road. An autopsy was scheduled for later Tuesday to determine the cause of death, Campbell said. Police said they do not suspect foul play. The man's family, worried that he had not returned from his trip on the

first day of deer hunting season, called a neighbor, who went searching and discovered the body. Officials across the region reported several incidents of hunters being injured in tree stand mishaps. In Ryan Township, Schuylkill County, a man was injured after falling about 12 feet yesterday morning. His name was not available. In Franklin Township, Carbon County, hunter Terry Wentz, 43, was seriously injured Saturday after falling 12 feet off a tree stand he was preparing for the start of hunting season, police said. Wentz was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest with broken ribs and a broken sternum, and other injuries to his neck and back, township police said.
