The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office said Charles Paulson, 46, was shot while hunting with a party of six in the 9800 block of 80th Street Southwest in Rock Dell Township. The department said he was taking part in a drive through an area, and his 13-year-old nephew was posted at the end to shoot any deer the others pushed toward him. When a deer came out, the boy shot and missed the deer, but hit his uncle in the upper-right thigh.
