Guest guest Posted November 29, 2008 Report Share Posted November 29, 2008 http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081128/NEWS0104/811289973 Maine man wounded while deer hunting Article Friday, November 28, 2008PHILLIPS, Maine (AP) _ The Maine Warden Service says a 40-year-old deer hunter from Phillips has been transported to a Lewiston hospital after being shot in the thigh by his 19-year-old nephew.Brian Mitchell told wardens that he mistook his uncle, Craig Mitchell, for a deer as they were hunting in woods off Old Bray Hill Road in Phillips.The shooting took place while a half-dozen family members were hunting on Thanksgiving morning.Craig Mitchell made it out of the woods on his own. He was treated at Franklin Memorial Hospital before being transported to Central Maine Medical Center.The incident remains under investigation.
