Katie, I think that you are missing the point. The poster's issue was/is with people wishing harm on others not her commitment or love of animals. To say that hunters deserve to be injured or killed is not in line with this groups goals! True this group is made up of animal rights patriots but to make comments like this is not a patriot but an aggressive fanatic! We are a discussion and education group that cross post, examine, and offer insight in to the core of this movement. If your agenda lies elsewhere you need to reevaluate where you are good doctor and possibly where you are going. As a doctor you have taken an oath to protect and preserve life. Look at the group you mention you were apart of (peace corp) and dissect the name and

you will find the word-PEACE! All life should be cherished and held sacred, even the life of those we don't agree with!

As to your point of dealing with ignorance I agree but this media is a form of education amongst other things. If you did not come here to engage with people that love animals with different levels of experience, exposure or commitment then maybe you need to reevaluate your being here. I look at the poster and see an opportunity to educate with a dialog on both sides and the hope that an educated adult that can see more than one side to an argument/debate/lifestyle is a benefit to this movement. People who take up a cause be it animal rights, vegetarianism, veganism, freegan, etc will always be met with ignorance, it takes a strong person to look past the ignorance and see the opportunity to education.

We will never change everyone who sits, stands, or crawls on Mother Earth, but if there is an opportunity to change 1 person, to me that's the challenge an in doing so an accomplishment. Thank you for your holiday wishes I wish the same for you and hope that you can look to this "crazy lady" as an opportunity rather than a distraction.

Yes, I have many times risked my life for that of animals, and for people as well. I have also dedicated years of my life to service and activisim, and have been a member of the domestic Peace Corps. I wrote the question as to why a crasy lady was a member here becuase we are clearly an animal rights group, and her post was definatly NOT in line with that, so why was she here to begin with??? Like I said, we are all here for the same reason - we want to help animals and the enviornment. So when someone wastes our time like that, its annoying. If she doesnt support kindness and equality for ALL of life, than she doesnt belong here in the first place. Comine here and ranting and raving about what we say here is most unwelcome. It was a slant away from what this group is all about, and really out of place, and definatly not what I come here for at least. I want to communicate with people who strive to

make the world a better place for the animals who cant speak up for themselves. We have to deal with ignorance on that front everywhere else in our lives for the most part - so thats the last thing you want to deal with in a group like this I can say!!!Have a kind and compassionate holiday this year and go vegan! Inspire your family to go vegan - save lives this holiday and reach for the veggies not the dead birds! ;)Dr. Craft PS (my name is spelled "Katie" not Caite)
