http://www.dptribune.biz/content/view/119682/1/ Deer Park TribuneThursday, 20 November 2008 A 57-year-old Deer Park man was killed on Nov. 18 when his hunting partner mistook him for an animal this week in Shoshone County near the Montana border. James R. Hinchcliff died in a forested area after a member of his three-person hunting party shot him in the chest, according to Rod Plank of the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office will likely send its investigation to the county prosecutor to decide whether any charges will be filed against James L. Egan, 64, of Dalton Gardens, Idaho.

Hinchcliff was wearing brown camouflage clothing, Plank said. Idaho regulations do not require hunters to wear bright orange. Hinchcliff's death was the fifth hunting fatality in Shoshone County since 1992.Last Updated ( Thursday, 20 November 2008 )
