Guest guest Posted November 20, 2008 Report Share Posted November 20, 2008 I'd like to hear how he "survives" dropping the soap in prison!!!!! http://www.lcsun-news.com/ci_11023255?source=most_viewed Posted: 11/19/2008 12:38:09 PM MST LAS CRUCES — A fugitive who was set to be featured on America's Most Wanted this week was apprehended Tuesday at Elephant Butte Lake State Park, authorities said.Kenneth Mikolon, 39, wanted in West Virginia on 17 counts of alleged child sexual abuse, was arrested at a camp site by a task force of federal and local law enforcement officers. According to Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department, Mikolon — a former member of the Army and former Federal Bureau of Prisons corrections officer — was in possession of four handguns, two rifles, a shotgun, and AR-15 assault rifle and "several military cases of ammo." Officers apprehended Mikolon as he was making his way back to his vehicle, according to a news release. Authorities said Mikolon told officers he'd wanted to "shoot it out with law enforcement but didn't expect anyone until nighttime."Police said he was reported to be an "avid hunter and survivalist." Mikolon is being held in the Doña Ana County Detention Center on no bond, and he's awaiting extradition to West Virginia, said Bo Nevarez, sheriff's department spokesman.Mikolon had appeared on the America's Most Wanted Web site and was to be featured on the television show Saturday. The South West Investigative Task Force of Las Cruces, comprised of the U.S. Marshal Service and Dona Ana County Sheriff's officers, arrested Mikolon.
