'What's the missing link for lynx? The habitat they need to survive in the wild. Designating “critical habitat” for lynx is the best tool we have to identify and preserve the areas that these vanishing cats need to survive -- and to restore them to places where they naturally belong.

Unfortunately, while the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's revised critical habitat plan for lynx is a step in the right direction, it still falls short of offering the level of protections these rare forest cats need to survive.
