Every year over 10,000 animals are euthanizied in Gaston County and hundreds die on the roadside. They die not because of their mistakes, but because of irresponsible pet owners who neglect, abuse, or abandon them.

The public needs to be aware and responsible for all of these animals at this place, more volunteers needed.

Most urgent starting on page 1 The animals on pages 4-6 can be gassed on their release dates with no commit.

 

 

It is hard to keep posts updated with so many animals

Note: GASSING NOW STARTS AT 4 PM EACH DAY BECAUSE OF A STATE INSPECTION OF THE GASTON COUNTY SHELTER NOVEMBER 13, 2008 THIS HAS CHANGED BECAUSE THE STATE FOUND THERE WAS AN OVERCROWDING AT THE SHELTER.

 

URGENT! This is a list of dogs and puppies at Gaston County Animal Control that will be LAST CHANCE on the dates and times indicated in red below. These animals will NOT be held past the 4:00 deadline you see indicated, so please do not delay and contact Animal Control BEFORE the release date to make arrangements to pick up any pets you can help! Please try to crosspost for them!

 

 

These dogs and puppies are what is currently on the list, but others will be added throughout today and the following days so please continue to check the Gaston County Animal Control website for other dogs/puppies/cats and kittens that will be coming in.

 

 

If you can help any of these pets but need assistance with getting them out of Animal Control, please contact ALGC volunteers if you need help pulling a pet.

Because we work, you need to call us as soon as possible so we can try and make arrangements to get the pets before it is too late.

BUT PLAN ON BEING AT THE SHELTER BY 4:30 TO GET ALL THE PAPERWORK COMPLETED. YOU MUST BE READY TO GET YOUR PET PROMPTLY AT 5:01 AND LEAVE THE BUILDING AS ANIMAL CONTROL WILL BE CLOSING.
