The cars belonged to a former director of the US and European stock exchange conglomerate NYSE Euronext. According to a group calling itself the NYSE Euronext Bomb Squad, six explosive devices were placed under the cars. The activists want to stop share trading in Huntingdon Life Sciences, based in Oxford in Britain and the world's largest animal testing laboratory, says the paper. Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) has been aggressively campaigning against the company since 1999. In the Netherlands the Animal Liberation Front has destroyed cars belonging to Euronext in the past, as well as painting slogans on houses and sending threatening letters. Earlier this year, SHAC set up a Dutch offshoot which began targeting Dutch suppliers to Huntingdon in September, the paper says. © DutchNews.nl Get the DutchNews.nl newsletter in your mailbox: Click here to STAPLES supports this:
