I couldn't help but think of "A christmas Carol" where the kid gets a BB gun from his dad and his mom keeps saying "you'll shoot your eye out"

 

But, uh, I think the Sheriff needs to look up the word veteran. Veteran means experienced, but that doesn't mean safe. I hope the guy has to wear a glass eye that pops out when he's mad. Authorities say Jason Evans and six others were pheasant hunting near 11585 West Ashland road around 10:30 Sunday morning. Authorities say one man shot the pheasant out of the air, but when it fell to the ground it began running. In an attempt to shoot the pheasant again, one of Evans' friends accidentally fired a round of shotgun pellets at his hands and face. Evans suffered substantial injuries to his left eye. Authorities believe it is an accident and have discontinued the investigated. Sheriff Terry Wagner says it's a tragic reminder of the need for safety. he
