indoor sanctuary, and then sold everything she owned to get Bat World Sanctuary on its feet. She moved into an upper loft in the back of the sanctuary, and has worked without pay for the past 15 years to keep the organization going.Additionally, Amanda also maintains Bat World's wild sanctuary, sweeping 200 pounds of guano a week in over 100 degree heat in the summer. She also devotes her waking hours caring for over 150 permanent residents of Bat World and over 30,000 wild bats from the wild sanctuary. Amanda also rescues homeless and abused dogs and cats, and helped to establish Nick of Time Rescue in rural GA, a shelter that saves dogs and cats that are destined for the gas chamber.Many good people help animals, but this is our chance to bring attention to the plight of the most misunderstood animal on the face of the earth.
