Guest guest
Please go to www.petstorecruelty.org for the best advice, and lots of information on Petland - this web site was created 3 years ago when protests were started at the Petland store in Fairfax, VA. If needing more info / advice, wanting to protest again this store, and or other pet stores in Northern VA, ETC. , please CALL me at 571-236-9056 - I have VERY LITTLE access to a computer, can be days or weeks until I can get to - so, please DO NOT contact me via computer! Thank you, and carry on the fight for all these precious, innocent and suffering beings! Patricia Katie <kt25eRe: [boycott] pickett signsBoycott_Petland Date: Saturday, October 4, 2008, 10:40 PM Yes. Is this Petland in a mall or a strip mall? Before I did our protest I called the Iowa City Police (where the Petland I worked at is, and where I live) to see where private property ends and city property starts. We had to do ours across the street but it worked out well. We had enough people to cover ALL the mall enterances. They knew we were there. The police appreciates that you notify them if you are doing a protest. In some cities, like mine, you have to get a permit "to gather" if you have over 20 people. Keep that in mind! Make sure you are protesting on CITY property and make sure you don't need a permmit for the amount of people you have. --- On Sat, 10/4/08, dianne kerr-waltz <indianpony51@ > wrote: dianne kerr-waltz <indianpony51@ >Re: [boycott] pickett signsBoycott_PetlandCc: "dianne r kerr-waltz" <indianpony51@ >Saturday, October 4, 2008, 3:51 PM go to your local city hall and ask about a permit to use pickett signs in front of store to proset where the puppies come from they may make you do it across the street from the store, but it just might help. Did you mean KFC? I'm actually a former petland employee (2002-2004) and am also the proud coordinator of 2 protests. I have just been having hard time getting the press there. They have not showed up for either of the two events even when I notified them a month in advance for both. --- On Thu, 10/2/08, Jesus Tapia <theslant6 > wrote: Jesus Tapia <theslant6 >[boycott] (unknown)Boycott_PetlandThursday, October 2, 2008, 10:16 PM Hi there, I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. There is a Petland near my home and I do not approve of the way that they treat their animals, they throw them around and pay little attention to them. I detest the fact that most of their animals come from puppy mills. I have been wanting to protest this place along with every KFC in the world, for a long time now, but I don't have enough people or the knowledge to go on with this. I do believe that a "sit-in" would be possible. Do you think you can help me out with this? Thanks a lot.
