WE NEED YOU TO CONTACT LA TIMES ASAP!!!! YES ON PROP 2

Dear incredible Prop 2 Captains and volunteers,

Right now, the LA Times is considering their position on Prop 2! It is REALLY important that they support the YES vote! Just today the OC Register came out AGAINST Prop 2...we can't let that happen in LA. Throughout this campaign, Los Angeles has been a groundswell of passionate, dedicated volunteers. The LA Times needs to see this as they make their decision—they need to hear from you!

Please write a short, heartfelt letter to the Times as soon as possible. When you are writing your letter, stick to the two P's: keep it positive and make it personal. Keep your tone positive and upbeat, and be sure to personalize it by explaining why this matters to you. Scroll down for a sample letter that you can just edit and send!

Re: Why I support Proposition 2

Dear Editors:My name is ________, and I live at _________. Between October 2007 and February 2008, I volunteered with Californians for Humane Farms to collect signatures from my fellow Los Angeles voters. In total, I spent ___ hours, gathering _____ signatures. I understand that you are currently considering your position on Proposition 2—the Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act—which will be on November's statewide ballot. This modest measure simply asks that calves raised for veal, breeding pigs and egg laying hens, be given enough space to lie down, turn around, stand up, and extend their limbs. I spent my time volunteering on this because _____________________. (Include any information about why Prop 2 is personally important to you.) I hope the Los Angeles Times position on this measure reflects Los Angeles' humane values.
