Dear Friends & Supporters,

As most of you know, Mutts & Mitts of Brooklyn has met the necessary requirements to remove animals from the local kill shelter and place them in our foster/adoption care program. We have pulled several cats and dogs already. Below is an email I was sent from a colleague at the Brooklyn Animal Care and Control (ACC), which most of you also know is a kill-shelter. This kitty-man’s story got to me. Maybe because my cat, Thumper is his age or maybe because someone has been trying to save him by pulling him off the euthanasia list more than once. Check out his story below my email…

SO, what I would like to do is raise money specifically for Adam’s vetting and ideally find someone who can sponsor him! Simultaneously we would need to find a FOSTER home for him, but I can more easily handle that!

In taking him to the vet, we would have the mass biopsied to discover what the mass is…is it benign or cancerous? What would his prognosis be either way? It could be benign and by simply removing it, he could live a long life. The ACC just does not have the funding to do such procedures on their animals. There is an extraordinary overflow of homeless animals constantly being abandoned at their doorstep and they cannot use their precious resources so freely. It is a tough spot for all of us.

If you are able to donate ANY amount towards this cat, Adam, please let me know right away. You can go to our website (http://muttsandmitt s.blogspot. com) and donate through paypal or you could send a check (just notate that it is for Adam). And please again let me know as I cannot make a promise to pull him if I do not see a way to take him to the vet and have the necessary procedures done. Either way, you would be giving a chance at life to a cat who is set to be euthanized by tomorrow. Also I encourage you to pass this around to anyone you know who loves animals, especially cats, and might consider donating or

sponsoring.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this email!

All Our Best,

April

This is our handsome Adam. Adam is an all white, neutered, ‘no concern’ 13yr old kitty with some medical issues. Adam has a MASS ~ 3 INCHES IN DIAMETER PALPATED IN CRANIAL ABDOMEN.LATERAL V/D RAYS MASS SEEN IN CRANIAL ABDOMEN.Adam will need a biopsy to determine what the mass actually is. He is eating very well and doesn’t seem to be in any pain at all, per medical. He is a super sweet man and we are hoping someone could step up for him so he can live out the rest of his life comfortably. If anyone can help this boy, please do not hesitate, HIS TIME HERE HAS RUN OUT.Adam had

placement with rescue but they backed out due to the mass that was found. He was pulled from the euth list twice already, but since no one has come forward for him, we only have 24 hrs to find him placement.Look at this sweet face…….his owner gave him up because they were moving…
