I was alerted to this and have to say, I am sickened by the post. (READ BELOW) - I never post these things because they can quickly take over a board, but if you know any rescue groups, anywhere please forward.

Animal abuse within the Lancaster Animal Shelter Today my friend and I went to the Lancaster,CA Animal Shelter to see what dogs were there to adopt and what I saw was horrific I couldn't believe that an animal shelter would treat their animals this way.

 

They had no water in there bowls, filthy pens dogs laying in thier own feces and urine also eating thier own feces because they are starving.

 

The pens were over crowded with at least 10 to 15 dogs in each tiny tiny kennel the larger size dogs had at least 3 or 4 to a kennel with no room to lay down none the less to move around.

 

They had tons of sick dogs, there were dogs that could barely even lift thier heads because they were so sick.

 

They had these dogs mixed in with the healther looking dogs.

 

There was this one dog who looked as if he hadn't eaten in months with about 50 to 100 ticks on his body.

 

The dogs where closed in the indoor part of the kennel with the no access to fresh air laying on top of one another with flies all over them.

 

The dogs where attacking each other because they were so over populated in the kennels. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this situation I feel so terribly sad for this animals thank for any help you can provide.
