We Advocate to Change Public PolicyAlley Cat Allies advocates for the wholesale transformation of our nation’s animal control and shelter system—a system that most Americans may expect or falsely believe to be protective of all animals. Through legal and legislative initiatives, Alley Cat Allies is working to publicly expose and end outdated and cruel shelter practices. We Mobilize AdvocatesWith more than 70% of cats entering shelters doomed to be killed there, (virtually 100% of feral cats), change is greatly needed. Americans care about cats and do not want them to be killed. We Promote Humane CareAlley Cat Allies supports the efforts of individuals and organizations providing care to stray and feral cats. We promote programs that are mutually beneficial for cats and the community, including Trap-Neuter-Return and accessible, affordable spay and neuter services. Our programs and campaigns include four Every Kitty - Every City locations, National Feral Cat Day, the Lives Count, Secrets Kill Campaign, and more.
