These water-free washing processes always use some form of washer beads, which may be either Magnesium Silicate, Zeolites, Ion-exchange resins or blend of Zeolite and Magnesium Silicate. Several many adoptions of the process have been effected with various attendant complexities. The mixing of the biodiesel and the powder or ion-exchange resin subsequently required filtration, though the former was more intense filtration than the latter. A structured batch water-free washing biodiesel still available to every operation but without the filtration process is presented. Read more...
