The Pasadena Humane Society received over 60 dogs in the last 3 days, so the shelter was forced to review many adoptable dogs for space. Due to his deformed front paw, this handsome boy is next in line. If you can help him, please e-mail me as I will be checking 24/7 or call me at 818/426-3820. If it's within Southern Cal, I will be more than happy to transport. Anything for this guy! While I try so hard not to fall for the shelter dogs, this well-composed gentle soul got me at first sight... when I went into his kennel to retake his photos, I was amazed at how gentle and calm this big boy was... and when I took him out to the yard and he started playing with the tennis balls, I was smitten. Handsome boy is a true gentleman. He is not pushy, very patient, calm, and loving. Smart guy knows his sit, puts his head into the collar with no hassle, and walks beautifully on leash. He is very trusting and in tune with his handler. He has an amazing temperament, nothing seems to faze him... strangers, loud noises, sudden movements... cool as a cucumber. The general public may have a difficult time seeing passed his right paw, but I know the Rescue community has a BIG heart and a soft spot for the underdogs. I know there is a loving family out there who will love him for who he is. Here are his medical notes from our vet:rfl severe carpal valgus. gait deficit and bone deformity however can place paw properly. may be due to skeletal abnormality, ligament tear or laxity or both.
