Situation Analysis: Reaction Dynamics of

Immobilized Microbes Beads and Entrapment Matrix

 

 

In the analyses of heterogeneous bioreactor

and multi-packed bed bioreactor, the subsumed method of immobilization

of the microbes was the entrapment method employed in the Immobilized

Cells Reactor, ICR, in the study of S. cerevisiae. Further, in

acceptance of the convertibility of the many particle bioreactors into

the single particle bioreactor, the analysis of the bioreactors was

terminated by asserting an equivalence of the analysis-tasks to the

analysis of the single body problem. Yet the analysis of the Single

Body Problem of bioreactors begins with the analysis of the reaction

dynamics characteristic of the immobilization particle or single

particle or the single body. This suggested expanded analysis of the

reaction dynamics is necessary for the continuing translation of the

experimental observations into data format usable for reactor design.
