Multiple arson attacks were carried out at Charles River Laboratories, in France, who supply animals to laboratories including the notorious Huntingdon Life Sciences. Multiple arson attacks were carried out at Charles River Laboratories, in France, who supply animals to laboratories including the notorious Huntingdon Life Sciences. As of yet no group has claimed responsibility but militant animal rights groups are suspected. An office building was torched and three trucks, two hundred metres away, were completely destroyed with incendiary devices. French Anti-Terrorism police are currently investigating the incident, the second of it's type in the same area in as many years (a similar incident happened at Techniplast, cage maker/supplier in January 2007*). The local mayor said: "There have never been any hostile demonstrations at the site, which is relatively well hidden to avoid publicity...But for the area, it remains a company which doesn't pollute, doesn't create noise or fuss and creates employment" * http://www.directaction.info/news_may07_07.htm Article from newspaper: http://i41.servimg.com/u/f41/11/61/38/26/file0017.jpg
