This piece of sh*t goes even further that AETA. If you're not familiar with it it is the California Animal Enterprise Protection Act and is TOTALLY unconstitutional, but then what else would be expect from the current administration? If (more like when) it passes, it's only a matter of time before the whole country adopts it. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SENATORS! Their contact info is included. HOME THE PROBLEM OUR ALLIES ACTION RESOURCES WHO WE ARE DONATE Urgent Update on California Animal Enterprise Protection Act, AB 2296 Your Calls and Emails are Urgently Needed! They’re at it again. California universities and industry groups are pushing through a bill to silence California citizens and taxpayers and censor their free speech. Here is the bill and its status:www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/postquery?bill_number=ab_2296 & sess=CUR & house=B & author=mullin The bill was already passed unanimously by the Assembly. But the Senators haven’t heard from you. The Senate hearing is scheduled tentatively for June 24th and the bill will be voted on very soon thereafter. Contact the Senate Committee members listed below and your own Senators, and urge them to vote NO, using the talking points listed below Find your Senators at: www.senate.ca.gov/~newsen/senators/senators.htp If your Senators are on the Judiciary Committee, please let us know immediately at info. We will try to schedule meetings for you with their offices or in Sacramento. Talking Points: This bill sets a dangerous precedent because it imposes prior restraint on free speech. It allows any animal enterprise employee to prevent posting lawful information on the Internet by writing a demand letter. It provides special dispensation to an industry that appears not to fully disclose information, despite California’s public records laws. It discriminates against the viewpoints of certain California citizens without imposing similar restrictions on

others. It hinders California citizens' efforts to learn how some of their tax dollars are spent and whether animal experimenters are abiding by the Animal Welfare Act.
