Many of our finest conservation and wildlife protectionorganizations are very opposed to these types of tournaments. The tournament in Destin, FL has already been stopped due to opposition fromlocal citizens. We have a chance to end these brutal and ecologically irresponsible tournamentsfor once and for all! Please voice your disgust this week as part of a call-in against thoseresponsible for the cruelty and suffering these sharks will face before

theirultimate death, when they are hung from the gallows by the marina.Today (Monday) call the Home Depot in Freeport at (516) 546-6280 between 5-6pmand ask for Manager Lou Gaglio or his assistant, Rich.Let them know that sponsoring this tournament is bad business for Home Depot! On Tuesday, call the Town of Hempstead between 11am-Noon at (516) 489-5000x3260and ask for Supervisor Kate Murray.Let her know that the town is making a terrible mistake by using politicalclout to endorse such cruelty! On Wednesday, call the Village of Freeport between 11am-Noon at (516) 377-2252and ask for Mayor William

Glacken.Let him know that there are alternative ways to raise funds for the villagewithout such suffering! On Thursday, call the Freeport Hudson Anglers at (516) 378-5181 and ask forPresident Bill Heath.Shame these shark killers! On Friday, feel free to follow-up with whoever you'd like...A protest action is being held at the Shark Tournament in Freeport at the GuyLombardo Marina at NOON on Saturday, June 21st .Meet at the Dockside Cafe (507 Guy Lombardo Ave - just South of Front St byRandall Park).
