Guest guest
PLEASE CROSS POST FREELY The only way to put pressure on to get rid of Ms. Pedrolie, the new and puppy killer "Director" of the NY Animal Control Center is to call on those who have influence. Glenn Close and her husband, Dave Shaw, are huge fans of the shelter, they allow buyers to designate a portion of their purchases from their Fetchdog.com website to the NYCACC. Ms. Pedrolie is responsible for many more deaths and suffering of dogs and cats than the previous director. 13 people have resigned due to her new "policies". Last month, Close co-hosted "Friends of Animal Care & Control," a swank fund-raiser at an Upper East Side residence. Tax-deductible tickets were $200 each. If big name people begin to withdraw their support, there is hope. Please contact Glenn Close and ask her to withdraw her support, publicly, until Pedrolie is replaced by someone who actually cares about animals and not bottom lines! Talking points:1. She has cut off the Hope Partners, local rescue groups, from taking animals out of the shelter to be adopted.2. She has cut back the Big Fix spay/neuter program from operating once a week to once a month, thereby outrageously reducing the number of animals that can be spayed/neutered, causing a huge growth in unwanted animals, which then have to be killed.3. She has thrown away top of the line cages, reducing the space available to shelter animals awaiting adoption. These animals must be killed to make more room.4. In order to cut costs, she will no longer allow antibiotics to be administered for upper respiratory conditions, which means the animals will be classified as "sick" therefore they can be killed "legitimately. "5. She has fired 17 top tier staff members, volunteers and vet techs because they don't agree with the new policies of killing whenever possible!Charlene Pedrolie is single-handedly turning the NYCACC into a Kill "Shelter."
