The specific methods of converting the

geothermal energy into thermal potential has been to create a sort of

engine cycle that produces no work. Specifically, the heat is allowed

to be transferred; from the earths crust which is at a higher

temperature through a non-work extracting divider to water at a lower

temperature resulting in the heating up of the water into one of two

states: Superheated steam, or alternatively, as high temperature high

pressure superheated water, but in either case creating the thermal

potential.
