BRISTOL — - Severino Cruz, whose animal cruelty case drew nationwideattention, didn't show up for a court hearing Thursday. He has beendeported.Federal authorities sent Cruz, a Mexican national who had been livingin Plainville for years, back to Mexico on May 15, Senior SupervisoryAssistant State's Attorney Stephen Preleski said.Cruz still faces two animal cruelty charges, one a felony and one amisdemeanor.
