Guest guest
OOOO, top priority in the U.S. - scary (heavy sarcasm there....) A serious incident that happened in Jefferson, Ore., last week should serve as a strong warning to other agricultural businesses in the West: The Animal Liberation Front is going after farmers and ranchers, and is ready to destroy their businesses to get attention.More than 50 mink were released from the farm, and breeding records destroyed from the Jefferson Fur Farm. While Fur Commission USA, an industry group, said all the mink were recovered, damage was estimated at $5,000 for the loss of the records. But the most serious part of this was the attitude of the terrorist animal rights group and the warning they gave to the farm owners in a press release. "Consider this your first warning. Tear down this death camp and let the mink live free. If you don't we will be back to finish the job."As for whether the group really cares about the animals, another part of the press release says it all, when the group still hoped none of the released mink would be captured."It will be a hard road ahead for these mink and their offspring. ... Even if some of the mink do not make it we feel it is better to die free, than at the hands of their speciesist captors," wrote ALF-Cascadia.Is it really so humane to have these animals starve to death, suffer an attack from another wild animal, or die some other horrible way? This act is despicable on many levels, and we urge the FBI to place high priority on catching and prosecuting to the full extent those responsible for these acts against agricultural businesses. http://pets.Fortheanimals7/join http://www.myspace.com/fortheanimals7
