TheWumpus.com ~ TIGER RANCH Update ~ “Ms. Bruno, I don’t think God is taking the stand in this case. You are. And it looks to me like you’d better be ready to come up with some pretty good answers.” ~ “Life and Times of Archimedes Pozo” Click to view “The Death Room”October 17, 2007, Investigatory Video(uncensored) Detective Richard Manning described the scene at Tiger Ranch:“I saw hundreds of cats in different buildings that appeared to be lethargic and lying about. A lot of them had a pus-like film coming from their eyes and noses. They looked in very bad shape. Some had missing patches of fur and were missing eyes.“There was an awful odor in the main house that I can’t recreate in words. It smelled like waste products and garbage. The walls were covered in a filth; it was very dirty. The strong odors made it difficult to do my job.”< Sigh. What a mess this whole thing is turning out to be. I heard from some humans closer to the situation that we’d be reading about stuff like this. Keep in mind though, this is only the prosecution’s side of the story so far.The hearing for Bruno proceeded Monday despite an attempt by her attorney, Ron Valasek of Lower Burrell, to have more than 200 misdemeanor charges dismissed.Valasek said the 203 misdemeanor counts of willfully and maliciously killing, maiming, mutilating, torturing or disfiguring a cat were filed by the Allegheny County District Attorney’s office under the wrong statute.“What the district attorney’s office is trying to do is overcharge and plea-bargain,” Valasek said. “It is like throwing mud on the wall and seeing what will stick.”Are you sure that’s the visual you want to create with that example, Mr. Lawyer? I mean, we’re already talking about walls here and I don’t think you helped. Good grief....“I pay attention and take notes,” Bruno said, “and when it is our turn, God will tell our side.”Um, not making fun here but Ms. Bruno, I don’t think God is taking the stand in this case. You are. And it looks to me like you’d better be ready to come up with some pretty good answers. As it states, the hearing continues today and I’ll have an update tomorrow.
