However, the National Park Service (NPS) has already killed many of them because they are non-native, and NPS plans to exterminate them using a combination of hunting and contraception. Yet the NPS has not provided credible evidence to back up their claims that the deer are having a negative impact on the park's ecosystem. We are looking for volunteers to help gather petition signatures at Point Reyes Station to humanely and non-lethally manage the deer population at Point Reyes.
