Guest guest Posted April 24, 2008 Report Share Posted April 24, 2008 Dear Best Friends Members, The Cherokee County Council will hold a emergency meeting this Thursday, April 24th regarding the recent allegations that the shelter utilizes intracardial injection, also known as "heartstick" as the shelters main form of euthanasia. This cruel practice has been outlawed in South Carolina and most other states through the U.S. and is not considered an acceptable form of euthanasia except in very limited circumstances, and only if animals are sedated first.
