Guest guest
Please help this mare who narrowly escaped slaughter yesterday be rehomed. She is a great little mare with lots of heart and would be a wonderful horse for anyone. To think she was going to the butcher because she didn't "step high enough"! Last time this posted, the link said it was spam, but it was not. The link provided is fresh and works; I talked to the lady at the rescue myself yesterday. You can click and enlarge the pics at the bottom. We still need to raise funds for vet issues, Coggins/health Certificate; vetting as they ALWAYS get sick, the least of it is shipping fever/upper respiratory; farrier intervention; etc. Supplements for weight, etc., etc. As horse people, you are all aware that the 'purchase price' is the cheap part of the equation. With the rescue, the first 30 days averages $1,000 in care, vet bills, etc. before they're ready to be deemed adoptable. So, donations of any amount are welcome. Every little bit adds up and allows us to help a horse in need. The Paypal instructions are below - - if you wish to send a check donation, that should be made payable to "Helping Hearts Equine Rescue" and mailed to 260 Millstone Rd., Perrineville, NJ 08535. At this point, checks are best, as Paypal does take a percentage of every transaction, but either way, the funds we receive directly help horses in need. No 'salaries' are taken. Everyone working with us, including me, are volunteers. Thank you so much for thinking of us: Lisa Lisa M PostHelping Hearts Equine Rescue ~ 732-786-9015www.chestnutridgedressage.com/helping_hearts_equine_rescue.htmHelp us Help them - Join IGive.com ~ www.iGive.com/hheartsequine OK Ladies and Gentlemen: Please scroll down and check out this young mare. She is sound, lovely, beautiful - - - full of fire and life - - - -. Christy contacted me to see if we have any room at the inn, to try and spare her, she may be a lovely dressage prospect. We've been trying since Monday to find someone that has room. As you can see by the exchange, today I said let's go for it, this youngster deserves a life and I'll figure out where to put her . . . . So, Now, what we need is funds, to pull her from the broker, her 'ransom' is $600; and then once she gets here, we're going to need funds for vet exam, vaccinations, farrier, etc., plus all the miscellaneous "extras" that pop up on rescues. I may also need temporary quarantine housing, local to me. Any amount donated would help, funds can be Paypal'd or checks sent. Go to www.paypal.com, sign in, choose 'send money' to hheartsequine and insert the amount you would like to contribute. We're also going to need an adoptive home for her once she's safe. So, please spread the word!
