Too bad the sealers didn't go with it tho. http://www.theteleg ram.com/index. cfm?sid=126973 & sc=79The Telegram 4-17-2008 A third vessel taking part in the seal hunt has been lost this a.m.The White Bay Challenger was headed towards Englee in the earlymorning today, escorted by the Canadian Coast Guard Ship Ann Harvey,when it was struck by ice.Coast Guard spokesman Kevin Barnes said the vessel started taking onwater.Three pumps were placed in the vessel, which managed to keep itafloat for some time. But at about 6:30 a.m. the crew was forced toabandon the vessel.“I guess they couldn’t keep up with the ingress (of water),” saidBarnes.The seven crew members were taken aboard the Harvey, which washeaded to port in St. Anthony this morning.Two other vessels had to be abandoned since the seal hunt started onthe west coast Friday and the east coast Saturday.
