Guest guest
Note from W A R: Good news and bad news from Canada.....another seal killer boat sunk but this time the crew was rescued. It appears that many of the ships are leaving the ice because of the weather and ice conditions. 800 seal pups were killed on Friday. This year's slaughter is off to a very slow start. KARMA!!! http://canadianpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5hZjw-77HkaMnQ7eRV2WaGEvloJGA Seven sealers rescued after abandoning vessel on ice off Cape Breton 6 hours ago HALIFAX — Seven sealers were forced to abandon their boat off Cape Breton on Saturday as the vessel sank in the same frigid waters where another sealing vessel capsized hours earlier, leaving at least three sealers dead. The sailors abandoned the 17-metre Annie Marie as it was taking on water about 20 kilometres northeast off the northern tip of Cape Breton. They waited on pack ice for a helicopter, which picked them up late Saturday afternoon and transported home to Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Que. Navy Lt. Lora Collier said there were no injuries among the sealers. The Annie Marie ran into trouble in the same frigid waters where the sealing vessel L'Acadien II capsized overnight, leaving three sealers dead and another missing. Two others on the L'Acadien II were rescued. The search for the missing sealer from the L'Acadien II was scaled back Saturday night as the navy acknowledged there was little chance he could have survived in the frigid water. http://pets.Fortheanimals7/join
