OKLAHOMA - CONTACT: snugglezzz snugglezzz wrote: ar-news (AT) googl (DOT) comSubject: [AR-News] (OK - US) Immediate rescue needed for AmericanStaffordshire TerrierWed, 12 Mar 2008 11:39:09 -0400snugglezzz A call from a close friend this morning stated the following:A drug-addicted, alcoholic neighbor has a very sweet, gentle American Staffordshire Terrier he lets run loose, except for when he disappears with the dog for 2 - 3 days at a time. When the dog is returned, he is injured with cuts, bites, other injuries. He is probably being used for BAIT for dogfighting, since he is so gentle, she can't imagine the man trying to make him fight (although that is another possibility). The police will not do anything about dogfighting; the animal

"shelter" would gas the dog to death, and, that would be a horrible end to an already horrible life, so she doesn't want to do that. Also, if the dog goes to the "shelter," the man may find out she did it, and possibly poison her dogs.________________________________My words:From my own experience, I have yet to find any reputable rescue anywhere to help in desperate situations like this. She is very poor, and I still have vet bills to pay from the last rescue I did, so she needs some help for this abused dog. She says he's still very, very gentle, sweet, loving, despite what's going on in his life right now.She does not own a computer. If a legitimate, reputable rescuer CAN HELP, please email me directly, and I can get you in touch with her. Please don't email me if you can't help this dog directly, as I've been through all the suggestions,

advice, and possibilities, and I've previously sifted through hundreds of emails from people who had advice. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack, and there isn't time to sift through emails again if a person cannot help this dog. Thank you, and please email me if you are able to take in this dog. I will pay for neutering, vet check, and shots, but that is the extent I can help. She's willing to drive the dog to a rescue; if the rescue is in another state, I am willing to find someone to drive the dog there. Supercharge your AIM. Get the AIM toolbar for your browser.
