WHAT'S GREENER? Chicken or Beef? Or Vegetarian? Or Vegan?

There's been lots of debate on our blog about how best to eat green and healthy. We recently shared some information on sustainable seafood - but we thought it was time to discuss eating meat - are some options better than others, if you do decide to eat meat? Where can you look for local, organic food? Is local always the right answer? Is is greener to be vegan than vegetarian? How have you convinced people to eat less meat? What other answers are you looking for from our green team about what's on your plate? Check our blog at the end of the week for a response form our green team - but in the mean time post your perspective - and your best recipes athttp://www.liveearth.org/?p=352

Live Earth Film Series now on ABSOLUT.com!

We're happy to announce the launch of a new home online for the Live Earth Film Series. http://liveearth.absolut.com will display new films each week and keep you updated on Live Earth Films showing at film festivals around the United States. Since 1979, ABSOLUT Vodka has invited leading creative talent to interpret the spirit of ABSOLUT, asking them for visionary ways to make the world a better, more inspiring place. ABSOLUT is proud to support environmental visionaries working in film through the exclusive U.S. sponsorship online and at film festivals around the country of the Live Earth Short Film Series. The Live Earth Short Film Series is an important component of our ongoing campaign to solve the climate crisis.

The films are directed by many of the industry's most prominent filmmakers, and range from factual and dramatic to fictional and comedic (check out the complete list here).

ABSOLUT has partnered with Live Earth to create an experience where you can view these films online in the ways to which you're most accustomed: watch on our website in serial or on our widescreen Theatrical Viewer, on our YouTube channel, or to the RSS feed. Want to share a film that really touched and inspired you? Send it to a friend via AIM, post it to your Facebook account, or repost the video on your blog using the permalink. They'll launch one new film per week, all on the subject of climate change, so keep checking back to see the latest film in the Live Earth Short Film Series.

CLIMATE CRISIS TIP: Participate in Project Budburst!

By noticing when plants bud, flower and leaf out, volunteers can track climate change as part of a nationwide initiative. Project BudBurst allows students, gardeners, and other citizen scientists across the United States to enter their observations into an online database that will give researchers a detailed picture of the warming climate. Join and start tracking spring in your neighborhood now! http://www.windows.ucar.edu/citizen_science/budburst/
