Once tanned (water polluted with poisons), the coats are not biodegradable or they would rot off the monsters' backs that wear them. AFTER decades as the pariah of the fashion industry, fur is fightingback — with claims it is one of the most environmentally friendlyclothing materials that exist.Fur is renewable, non-polluting, biodegradable and energy efficient,and wearing fur will protect the planet's precious ecosystem, sayproducers....Now a website called furisgreen.com marks a big step for the industryas it tries to win over consumers more familiar with animal rights adsfeaturing nude supermodels insisting they'd rather go naked than wearfur."It's important that we … make people aware of the positive side ofwearing fur," said Alan Herscovici, executive vice-president of theFur Council of Canada, which backs the site...."Obviously fur can't be produced without killing animals, so for thisreason there are some people who will never buy it.
