We are working to save 9 horses (7 pregnant mares & 2 studs) that a breeder was planning to sell to slaughter. They are the last of his breeding stock, and then he will be out of the horse breeding business entirely (and will stick to raising cattle).

His ranch is only 1 1/2 hours from Natural Valley Farms Inc., the new horse slaughterhouse in Canada. So it is quite easy and convenient for him to sell them at top dollar for meat.
