In mid-February, the government of Nova Scotia and the

Department of Fisheries and Oceans opened a protected nature

reserve on Hay Island to commercial seal hunters, authorizing

them to club 2,500 grey seals to death. The sealers value the

animals' fur, and scapegoat them for declining fish stocks.

Please join me in telling Nova Scotia Premier Rodney MacDonald

that this slaughter of grey seals is unacceptable and should

never happen again. It will only take a moment:
