Guest guest
Thanks for sharing this, Tom. I see there are three courses in the program, and when registering, you are asked to choose a time frame for the courses. I didn't see anything that explained how much time should generally be dedicated to each course. I'm wondering if you'd share how much time was involved, whether you took all three courses at the same time, or one after another, etc... Again thanks! Guest guest
It does look like an interesting course. I see it says "Approximately six hours over a period of two weeks." for the first of the three sections. How is this done ? It is a recorded lecture or a live webinar or what? It says self-paced so I'm not sure the structure. It also says " An instructor leads the online discussions, grades any course projects, and is available to answer specific questions about the course content." What kind of course projects ? I need to know how time consuming this is before I can commit to a specific class time. The above quote makes it sound like it takes about 6 hrs of time over 2 wks.........is that all inclusive of instruction time and project time? I am very interested in getting this education for my own sake as I have found very few "professionals" who seem to know or believe much of this. Thanks ! Guest guest
I've taken all 3 courses from the T Colin Campbell Foundation (through ecornell), and recieved the certifiate in Plant Based Nutrition. For me, it took WAYYYYYYY more time than that. If you really want to get the most out of the course, you will WANT to spend more time. Structure: you watch some video lectures, take some quizzes, and do some writing, in response to questions posted by your instructors. Hope this helps- MEC On Tue, 30 Mar 2010, Mustang Sally wrote: > > > It does look like an interesting course. I see it says " Approximately six hours over a > period of two weeks. Guest guest
I have spoken to eCornell several times about this course. I would like to take it for the certification but looking at the cost of the class and the poor return on continuing ed. credits that are offered it is not productive financially for me. I practice Alternative Medicine in Oregon. The books are interesting reading for sure and you will gain much more knowledge by rereading them. Six hours of lecture seems too little on such a huge topic.Robin L.
